Everybody had something they desired or were passionate about, and in my life, I am passionate about my work .Yes, I am a workaholic, but I am a person who enjoy their life to the fullest. I am a person who craves success,so here I am, after having 4 hours of sleep.I got up in the morning at 7 and got freshen up and started reviewing my presentation that I have to give to Goodies Limited .Suddenly, a voice came
"Come dear,breakfast is ready."mummy said.
I forgot what I was thinking and ran downstairs .
Yes, mum, I said
Good morning. I sighed
Mum asked,"What happened, beta" (nickname to call)
Nothing just worked stress. I said
Just a thought came after checking my phone that was him I don't know why sudden thought of him came after so many years I was just about to teared down suddenly kaashvi(best friend)came who just saw my sad face and asked "what happened? Is something that u want to share?
She asked. No, just something came to my mind. I said
She realized that sadness and shouted his name." Is it there related to shivansh."
And I was shocked as I heard his name as I didn't mention it in years .
"How would you know?" I exclaimed.
"That sadness I know, baby."She said
"Why are you crying after so many years of that incident?"She asked.
I had no answer because I didn't know that after 7 years, why I am still missing his laugh, his way of talking, his gesture towards me, I was incomplete without him.
"Just don't recall all sad memories, annu. She said. He is a bastard. Don't waste time on thinking of him, " she said.
"Don't utter a word against him,kaashu. I hate it when u do that." I said , ' But why??" She asked curiously she knew that I hated when somebody said ill about him.
So she stopped and left before i could say something. i know i have hurt her by defending him. But she dont right to say something ill about him. So after blurring the argument with kaashu. I was in the zone in my school days, where I collected so many memories about him.

Third pov:
"Hi... Anni said, " Someone said to gain her attention there he stood Annika's classmate none other than Shivansh oberoi
Goosebumps erected in her body as his voice was heard by her
"Umm.. Shiv , what's up?" She said. Just his nickname given by her is a peaceful melody to his ears that she didn't know about
"Nothing much, what about you?"He said hesitantly
"I'm just having my lunch. Wanna join?" She asked. She said casually to calm down the heartbeats that were caused by him.
"No, no, just had mine. It's just that i was alone and just wanted to have some random convo. That's it." he said what he just said skipped a beat in her heart.
That was not the first day when it felt like that it was one of the moments that she had captured in her heart. She has realized that she had a crush on him.
Neither she has confessed nor he had said that he had feelings for her. Those random conversations between them made each other good friends.

Annika's pov
"Thinking about our school memories just calm heart." I said to myself while smiling. Thinking about him.
"I know you didn't know about my feelings that time, but at least you would appreciate it when I expressed. What happened to our friendship, Shiv, that you haven't contacted me for years ?" She sighed
"Annu, what happened? Haven't you woken up?" My mom called
"Yes, mumma coming," I said while going downstairs
"Since when I am calling you where you were?" Mumma said
"Nothing, mumma, just going through the presentation which I have pitch on Tuesday," I said
"Ohhho, today is sunday day after tomorrow is Tuesday. Why are you panicking today?" mumma asked
"You know mumma, this presentation is so important to me, and my team is working so hard to get this project since so many months I am approaching Goodies Limited now finally I have got the opportunity I have to give my 100% mumma" I said
"I know beta, but health is also important. Don't take that lightly, okk. "
Mumma explained, to which I nodded
I ate my breakfast , freshened up myself, and wore a kurti to go to the temple it's our ritual to go on Sundays
I know how fucked my mind after thinking of him because my questions towards him are still unanswered and ofcourse my passion my work the presentation is almost ready but I am still unsatisfied and unsure that they will accept they are the biggest food company whom I have to pitch
This will give my company a new boost.
I have some strong feelings that something is going to happen. I hope my gut feelings are in a good way.
After getting ready, we sat in the car
Mumma, Papa, and me after 15 min drive to temple we sat their done some prayers and puja. On worshipping the lord krishna (my kanha ji)
"Kanhajii, I have got the big opportunity to handle the advertisement of Goodies Limited company. Please give me every strength to handle every problem, " I said to kanhajii
"What happened, beta ?" Papa asked
"Nothing much, Papa just stressed about the presentation," I said to Papa
"Don't worry, you have worked hard, and always remember if things are not going according to our wish, it means it's according to their wish," Papa said, pointing towards murti (statue) of lord krishna. I nodded
After 30 mins of prayers and bhajan, we return to our home.
As I was about to unlock the house, it was already open being shocked I entered the house their he stood non other my soul brother cum bestfriend KABIR MALHOTRA
"Hello lovely people" he said while looking at me entering the house
"Hello people who don't live here" I said jokingly looking towards him
"It was an big emergency " he said dramatically
"And what is the 'Big' emergency?" I said while taking a seat on sofa
"I was hungry of the food made by aunty and missing you" he said pouting
"You just had dinner last at my place and we see each other regularly kabir Stop being so dramatic ,"I said while getting a glass of water
"Stop it, annu. Why are you teasing my baccha?" Mumma said while entering the house
"Ya annu, it's not the big deal," he said dramatically while winking at my mumma
"Haww, so now he is you baccha, and what am I?" I said, looking towards my mumma
"And who gave him the keys to my house, by the way?" I said while looking at him,
" I gave him the keys. If any emergency occurs, he can come immediately ." Mumma said
"There will be no emergency occurring anytime soon," I said
"What emergency are you talking about?" Papa said while entering
"Hello, uncle, how are you?" Kabir said while gesturing a hand
"Great, Kabir, how have you been?" Papa said
"Great uncle, I just came to inform her that I will not be able to attend the presentation meeting which is to be held on Tuesday." Kabir said in a serious tone
"Why, what happened? You know, what this project means to me, kabir, I said while cutting him off
"It's just......that I can't come, Annika," kabir said to me
"Why I want reasons kabir Malhotra otherwise keep your resignation ready by tomorrow," I said
"See annika, I know you are angry, but I have my reasons," he said while I cut him off
"What reasons care to tell me?" I said while folding my hands towards my chest
"Such a stubborn girl, you are," he said while huffing
"Now tell me what happened?" I said, taking him inside the kitchen.
"Umm.... it's too complicated, Annika." He said
"You are telling me or not otherwise I have other sources to find what's bothering you." I said
"Arre arre, I am telling it's just I can't find right words." He said hesitantly
"Bol jaldi (speak up)," I said
"Umm..... itsmyengagement."he said in a speed
"What????" I said, not able to understand his words.
"My umm..... engagement is there on Tuesday...." he said
"What? Are you kidding me on Sunday morning?" I said while getting irritated
"Looking at my face, do you think I am joking?" He said
"Are you for real? How could you...? I mean, last time we talked about this topic, you were like I can't love anyone or I don't want anyone in my life, so suddenly, what happened??" I said
"I remember I told you that I don't want anyone in my life, but my parents are thinking of me to move on from my past and settle in life," he said
"See, I think kabir, Uncle and Aunty are right. You should move on now it's been 5 years since that incident happened ," I said while comforting him
"I know, but I can't trust easily that incident has given me some major trust issues, and you know that Annika very well," he said
"I know, but you can try moving on, isn't the bad decision. Maybe It will lead to a beautiful destination." I said enthusiasticly
"Says the one who can't move on from 8 years," he said sarcasticly
"Why have you been waiting for 8 years then?" He said
"I am not waiting for anyone, kabir," I said, breaking the eye contact
"We have known each other for more than 7 years now since then u have dated No one. So stop lying it doesn't suit you. " he said confidently
"It's not like that, kabir ." I said, looking everywhere but him
"What makes you sleep at night." He said
After that conversation with kabir, my two days went in vain as I was busy going through the presentation and the other projects that are lined up, but the thought of not moving still from him was in the corner of my mind.
On the day of the presentation
I woke up early in the morning and got ready for the office. I drove my car to the office. I entered the building, and everyone greeted me and showed some documents regarding other contracts.
I saw the time it showed 9 AM, and the meeting was held at 10 AM, so I asked my team to show the presentation and elaborate because I don't want sluttering or any mistake while giving the presentation.
At my company, I am the most cold person they ever met because I don't spare any person who makes mistakes
My work is my passion and my dream, so I don't spare any glance to the one who make mistakes or are lazy in their work.
At 10AM
Rosie, my secretary, said to me that Goodies Limited's CEO and team have come, so I immediately straightened myself and did some touch-ups, and I wore a confident smile that boosted my confidence. But in a corner of my heart, there was some nervousness that I hid behind my confident smile.
I turned the nob of the door and entered the meeting room. As I entered, there was a man standing facing his back against my face, and his face was not visible.
I greeted with a smile and said ," Good morning, everyone.
The man who was facing me turned around. The moment I saw him, my feet stiffened at the place, and my eyes turned moist. My vision became blurry
And I whispered ," Shiv........" and a drop of tear fell from my eyes.
